bianco carrara basketweave mosaic bath
This classic “his” master bathroom designed by homewoner Lesley Cohen was featured in the fall issues of athome Magazine of Fairfield County.
The floors are a polished Italian Bianco Carrara basketweave mosaic inlaid with Bardiglio dots. The gray Bardiglio complements the gray veins that run through the Bianco Carrara. Overall a softer look than the more common Nero Marquina (black) accents.
The walls cleverly used a brick pattern with a 12″x12″ Bianco Carrara tile. The stone tiled walls are finished with an elegant greek key mosaic deco border and then topped with a bianco carrara chair rail molding.
This classic look for a bathroom is versatile. Subtle tweaks with hardware, accessories and furniture can bring this design inot a modern city apartment or a traditional country estate. Either application it is a timeless design.
